My Latest Addiction

So recently I have been much addicted to this tv show that I've started watching, House. It is a good way to relieve stress as well as get interested in something brand new! This tv show is all about an unconventional, straightforward, sarcastic and humourous medical genius, otherwise known as Gregory House.

The show is all about his medical life at the hospital whilst at the same time the film develops more to include the relationships of his close friend Dr.Wilson, and his 3 subordinates, Dr. Cameron, Dr. Foreman and Dr. Chase. House is actually a very miserable man, having only one true friend and he spends most of his life working in the hospital. However, the irony is that he is very very good at what he does and manages to solve some of the most unconventional medical cases ever.

It is so interesting to watch House because he doesn't listen to anybody, acts like an arrogant doctor but is funny to watch, is a medical genius that everybody that everybody admires and deals with things very righteously. Although he doesn't show like he cares much but he actually does care about the people around him. The show makes a great show because of the people who House works with, the way he solves the medical cases and last but not least the humour the show has that comes with House.

I would recommend you to watch this show if you have nothing else to do, even if you don't learn much about medical terms and cases, you would definitely have learnt the following (from www.playtime-magazine.com) :-

1. It is clinically impossible for anyone to enter an MRI scanner without either a) having a fit or b) freaking out.

2. Doctors work ridiculous hours. This is because they spend large amounts of time staring through windows at their patients.

3. Sometimes the only way to diagnose a patient is to break into their house and nick their stuff.

The show goes on for 5 whole seasons, and has been the most watched television program in the world in 2008. The show has received 7 awards, including a Peabody Award, two Golden Globe awards, and three primetime Emmy Awards. Season 6 is starting soon, so it would be about time for us to who have not watched the show to catch up!
